The seeing was better last night so I configured the PTO for planetary imaging. The first images showed Europa’s shadow on the Jovian cloud tops. The moon was visible in transit but just barely. I checked the Jupiter system ephemeris to see when the moon would clear the disk but not the shadow and waited for that time. Coincidentally the GRS was just rotating into view as well which makes for a much more interesting picture. As usual, south is at the top.

If you look closely, you can see a slight red edge on the right side of Europa and a slight blue edge on the other side. The different color exposures are registered to the rotation of Jupiter but the moon has moved independently of the planet so the exposures show the amount the moon has moved in between them.
