SDO
Abbreviation: Solar Dynamics Observatory. The SDO is a satellite solar observatory launched on the 11th of February 2010. It is in a geosynchronous orbit at an altitude of 22,238 miles. Using the four 7.8″ telescopes of its Atmospheric Imaging Assembly the satellite provides 1 arc second resolution full disk imagery in 10 different wavelengths every 10 seconds.
